FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is windshield tinting legal in Arizona, and can you tint my whole windshield?
Arizona law prohibits tint on the windshield (0% allowed), but you can tint the top 5 inches for a sun visor effect. Many Mesa drivers in Eastmark and Red Mountain use the sun visor strip to reduce glare on east-facing morning commutes. We apply legal windshield tint strips that comply with Arizona DOT regulations. Call (480) 528-8227 to discuss your windshield options.
I have a dual-pane SUV with large rear windows—how much will tinting cost?
Dual-pane and triple-pane windows cost more because they're harder to tint. Your quote depends on window count and pane complexity. Most large SUVs and 3-row vehicles in Las Sendas and Red Mountain run $550-$700 for Ceramic Tint, or $750-$900 for Platinum Plus. We assess your vehicle and provide exact pricing. Larger windows also provide more cooling benefit, so the investment pays off quickly.
Can I keep my pets safe in the car during Mesa summer errands with just window tint?
Ceramic tint reduces interior temperature by 15-25°F, which is critical for pet safety. A tinted car stays under 100°F instead of 130°F+ in 115°F Mesa heat. However, never leave pets unattended for long periods regardless of tinting. Tint helps enormously when you run into stores in Superstition Springs. We recommend Platinum Plus ($599) for maximum heat rejection and peace of mind.
What's the difference between ceramic and standard (dyed) tint for Mesa heat rejection?
Ceramic tint ($399) blocks 99% UV and reduces heat 15-25°F with no signal interference. Standard dyed tint is cheaper but fades over 2-3 years in Mesa's intense heat and blocks less heat. Ceramic lasts 5-10 years. In Mesa's climate, ceramic is worth the extra cost. Platinum Plus ($599) ceramic offers even better heat rejection (up to 30°F reduction). Most Mesa customers choose ceramic.
Can you tint only specific windows (like doors but not rear) to save money?
Absolutely. Many budget-conscious Dobson Ranch and Augusta Ranch families tint front doors and rear windows ($299-$399) to reduce costs while keeping maximum cooling benefit. You get heat rejection where you sit most. Full tinting is more effective, but partial tinting works well. We can recommend the best partial coverage for your vehicle and budget.
Does infrared-blocking tint exist for Mesa's extreme heat, and is it better than ceramic?
Infrared (IR) blocking is incorporated into our Platinum Plus ceramic tint ($599). It specifically blocks infrared heat while allowing visible light through. IR-blocking technology is the best heat rejection available and perfect for Mesa's 115°F+ summers. Ceramic with IR blocking reduces interior temperature more than standard ceramic. Superstition Springs and Eastmark customers who want maximum cooling choose this option.
The morning sun blinds me on my east-facing commute from Eastmark—will tint help significantly?
East-facing commutes in Mesa (Eastmark toward Phoenix on the 60/202) face intense morning glare. Ceramic tint ($399) or Platinum Plus ($599) reduces glare substantially. The sun visor strip on your windshield (Arizona-legal) adds additional glare reduction. Combining rear window tint with the windshield visor is popular with Eastmark and Mountain Bridge commuters. You'll notice the difference immediately.
I park in huge lots with no shade like Mesa Riverview mall—how much hotter is my car without tint?
Shade-free parking in Mesa causes interior temperatures to reach 130-140°F in 115°F heat. Ceramic tint ($399) reduces that to 110-115°F. Platinum Plus ($599) gets you to 100-105°F. The difference is dramatic for comfort and AC efficiency. Many Mesa Riverview shoppers and business people use tinting specifically because of the massive exposed parking lots. Even a 20°F reduction makes a huge difference.
